I'm so relieved - I have just received an email from my MP and Gatwick have spoken to NCP who have reopened the PCN for payment at £15 (which I've paid!!). They claimed to have proof of postage for both PCNs, which I've not seen or requested because this has now been resolved as I'd asked for, but interesting that information 'could' be requested as evidence. Wonder what it looks like!!!

Claimed to have proof of posting strange they didn't produce it.
Glad you got it resolved to your satisfaction. You've now experienced PPC's sharp practice be less stressful if there is ever a next time !!!

Want to get back at them? Next time you go to Gatwick, wait for the NtK and appeal saying (exactly) this:
    Re PCN: XXXXXXXX
    VRM: AB12CDE
Date of issue: DD MMM YYYY

I am the registered keeper. Your NtK does not and cannot rely on PoFA 2012. As a matter of fact and law, NCP will be well aware that they cannot use the PoFA provisions to hold the keeper liable because Gatwick Airport is not 'relevant land'

If Gatwick Airport wanted to hold owners or keepers liable under airport byelaws, that would be within the landowner's gift and another matter entirely. Not only is that not pleaded, it is also not legally possible because NCP is not the airport owner and your 'parking charge' is not and never attempts to be a penalty. It is created for NCPs own profit (as opposed to a byelaws penalty that goes to the public purse) and NCP has relied on contract law allegations of breach against the driver only. The registered keeper cannot be presumed to have been, nor pursued as the driver under some twisted interpretation of the law of agency.

NCP have no hope at POPLA, so you are urged to save us both a complete waste of time and cancel the PCN.

You will find that they will cancel the PCN. Don't try and add or change anything. Just use the wording above and never pay another penny to the thieving bar stewards.

Did you by any chance get photos of the yellow signs? I'm in a very similar situation and am having to go to court as I wasn't properly prepared and looking for these photos to help with a defence.
