Met parking Southgate fine - parked without realising I can’t go to MC

Hello
I hope it’s ok to post. I have read a number of posts regarding this parking as well as the newbies thread.
I hope it’s ok to post. I have read a number of posts regarding this parking as well as the newbies thread.
My questions:
1. Am in right in thinking I should first contact the manager of the Starbucks store to see if they can cancel the fine?
2. Is there a set period I have to appeal the fine? Date of issue says Jan 25th 2024.

2. Is there a set period I have to appeal the fine? Date of issue says Jan 25th 2024.
3. My husband parked at the park wanting to go to Starbucks however his app to purchase/get rewards/ wasn’t loading so he decided he’ll go to McDonald’s instead. He said the signage was confusing and didn’t realise the parking is separate until we got the fine. Could this help in an appeal?
4. We haven’t made any contact with met parking yet, however date of contravention is Dec 20th 2023 and date of issue of notice - Jan 25th does that mean anything beyond the fact they can’t ask to know the identity of the driver(apologies I’ve seen terms along these lines but don’t think I fully understand).

5. Finally, if I have to appeal to MET in case Starbucks don’t cancel the fine - the appeal written in blue text on the newbies thread asks for images - they have a number of images of my husband on cctv on their website associated to that fine. Images show him walking out of car and towards MC and then coming back to car with a paper bag looking like MC
thank you. I hope my post is ok and also thank you for your time.

Welcome. Hopefully you've read the Newbies/FAQ thread. MET have no idea who the driver is. No matter what pictures they have, they do not know the identity of the driver. Do not disclose this to them, under any circumstances.
The dates on the NtK don't matter whether they are PoFA compliant or not. MET cannot rely on PoFA to hold the keeper liable because the locations not "relevant land". If they are not given the drivers identity and address, there is no way they can collect on the PCN.
It is not a "fine" so stop referring to it as one. It is a speculative invoice from an unregulated, private parking company and they are out to scam you, the registered keeper.
You can appeal as the keeper with the following:I have received your Parking Charge Notice (Ref: ________) for vehicle registration mark ____ ___, in which you allege that the driver has incurred a parking charge.
The location of the alleged contravention is covered by airport bylaws and, therefore, is not relevant land for the purposes of Schedule 4 of the Protection of Freedoms Act 2012 (PoFA). As such, there is no possibility of transferring liability of this charge to me, the registered keeper (RK).
There is no obligation for me to name the driver and I will not be doing so. I am therefore unable to help you further with this matter, and look forward to your confirmation that the charge has been cancelled. If you choose to decline this appeal, you must pay up and issue a POPLA code whereupon, an assessor will force you to cancel it.

MET will reject your appeal so you will get a POPLA code but here is a clue for you .
Only this week on here for the same site and reason, MET GAVE UP with a POLA appeal so the motorst did not have to pay. PLUS the legal they use, DCBL, chickened out and discontinued, same place, same reason, same SCAM
THIS IS A WELL KNOWN SCAM SITE ...
One entrance
One car park split into two operated by MET Parking
CCTV follows customers of Starbucks and McDonalds
Joe Lycett of TV fame exposed MET parking ... Watch the video
Apologies to the regulars on here who have seen this many times
The question is ... how can the BPA, British Parking Association allow their members to scam the public ...... THE FACT IS, THE BPA DOhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5i_RcNM4SM0

I will use it and I hope you don’t mind me coming back if I need any further help. Also - PrientDream - I had come across this video from this forumI didn’t see how it could help me hence my post. However when you say - ‘only this week on here for the same site and reason, MET GAVE UP with a POLA appeal so the motorst did not have to pay‘ - my question is - I thought many motorists had won against MET and didn’t have to pay, not just one?

The video is simply proof of the scam and your husband crossed the scam line.
If this does go to court, doubtful, it is perfect proof to show a judge0 -
