Panasonic EX77 picture issue

My HDD record has become over rich colour, I changed my HDMI cable no sign of improvement. I have reset to default none change and retune still same over rich colour. Try on different telly still the same. I guess my DVD is kaput?

Have you tried resetting the HDD recorder? Also, the HDMI channel has picture settings, which can be set differently from the main channels. You could adjust these to improve the picture. Also, is there dust in the HDMI socket. Try giving it a wipe round with a cotton bud. If still no luck, I think you will have to buy a new HDD recorder. How long have you had it?
  • I have tried to adjust the colour on the TV, it doesn't appear to look normal, but the display bottom with the program's name, and time looks like it has lost detail, it looks rough. I have swapped HDMI, which is not good. I guess I need new. I had them for three years! Bought it was new old stock from eBay for £75.
  • Clean HDMI, reset HDD, no luck. Definitely need a new one.

A HDMI cable cannot change colours.  If a HDMI cable is not working you either get no image, image breakup or sparkles (random white dots) on the screen.
