When I don't want them to be. . . arrgghh!
This is a weird one. I am in England, and my windows 11 (which sucks by the way) was installed in English. But when I download new apps (like right now I have just downloaded HP Smart - print scam software) they always default to Spanish language and I cannot find anywhere to change the language to English.
Does anyone know a quick fix for this?
*My computer keyboard layout is not British though, as there is no pound sign (just dollar)

Are you using a vpn?
Also check you have the correct location set in windows 11 I.e. the UK0 -
I often get poorly written "apps" installing in Japanese, because my non-unicode language is set to Japanese.(I set it that way for a reason)Maybe yours is set to Spanish.Check here (Win 10), I imagine 11 is similar
I want to go back to The Olden Days, when every single thing that I can think of was better.....
(except air quality and Medical Science)

Are you using a vpn?
Also the Windows menus are all in English - Settings, Control Panel etc. Not in the Spanish equivalent.

So you are using a vpn?
If so turn it off and download the app again, what happens?
You still haven't said where windows thinks you are I.e. when you installed windows you were asked to select your country , did you select the UK?0 -
It's odd that your apps default to Spanish despite your Windows being in English. Have you tried checking the app settings specifically? Sometimes, they have their language settings separate from the system. As for the keyboard layout, maybe it's worth exploring that too—maybe a switch there could do the trick. Tech quirks are a puzzle, but we'll get it sorted!
