Incorrect car details with some insurers

I bought a BMW in 2019 and transferred my private plate from my Ford in the process.
Ever since, every year when it comes to renewing insurance I have significant issues getting insurance companies to correctly link the reg to my new car.
The DVLA and MID databases are correct and should my current car.
Comparison sites show the correct details for my current car.
When I either click through to the insurance company, or go directly to them for a quote, about half of them still have my old car listed, and half of them have my current car correctly listed.
This year, Aviva appears to have the records for the old and current car merged together, so some info is correct, and others incorrect.
I talked to the DVLA who said that because they DB is correct, there is nothing they can do.
I've talked to a number of insurance companies who all say they have no idea why the information is incorrect when it comes through to their systems.
Any suggestions on who on earth I need to contact to correct this?

I know a family member has the same issue and we are trying to find out what can be done, especially as his current car is 1500 and then old one is 2000. Any advice or did you manage to get your issue sorted?

Partially sorted, but not fullyWhen I use a comparison site I still quite often find that when I click the quote through to the supplier website it will show my old Focus rather than my current BMWOn other occasions, both sites show the correct car, but once I've purchased the insurance something on the certificate will indicate that is actually my own car - at which point I have to call the insured, they check and then we cancel the insurance. The only way I've found to identify if this will happen is, if I find a good price on a comparison site, I'll go direct to the insurer and then do a manual quote - 9 times out of 10 their car search will show the true car they are running insurance on.About 50% of insurance companies are now coming up with the correct car - or at least as close as I can get, the engine CC is slightly outHonestly apart from moaning to every insurance company about the issue I've yet to find a solution - my guess is the only true solution would be to remove the reg from the car, then pay again to put the private reg back on to refresh the database0
