Civil Enforcement - COWBOYS What can I do 12 months later?

In January 2023 I traveled to Warrington from my then home in Wigan to visit a friend overnight.
I entered a car park, eventually located relevant signage to find out how to pay for the parking, which involved...
I was asked to email an appeal which I did providing my receipt taken from the app, which the company declined, stating the payment was nearly 15 minutes after entering the car park.
I asked them to review CCTV which would prove I didn't leave the car park and was doing all of the above.
I refused to pay the escalated fine, and we are now in 2024 and I am now being pursued by QDR Solicitors, who I have engaged with completely, advising of my case, and providing the evidence, which they have stated cannot be accepted, they advise me to pay the £170 or be forced into entering legal action against me with will incur more costly charges.
I am not niece enough to recognise that I am not alone here, but QDR stated that I have no other option.
I contacted POPLA this week who turned me away as the PCN is over 12 months now and expired, and I have emailed the BPA for support.
Is there anything I can do?
If I could afford it at this point id maybe consider paying it to get them off my back, but this is what these company's want....can anyone help?
Thank You for listening!

- Reading the sign high up on a wall in the dark without my reading glasses
- Downloading the relevant app
- Registering my details
- Registering my bank card details
- Paying for overnight parking.

You just defend the court claim. Stop engaging with QDR who aren't worthy of your time.
This is easier than you think - no CCJ risk and no huge costs despite what they told you - and we do court defences every day. Read a few threads about claims. Stop talking to QDR.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
