He is fitting 2 heat detectors I think.
The boiler is new and we don't have a gas fire.0 -
Hi,
He says about £2000 but this doesn't include the kitchen/lounge as we have just had building work and the electrics for there were included in the building costs.
So £2000 ish for 3 bed /bathroom/front room/hall/landing and new consumer board.[0 -
why is he fitting heat detectors? if its your house you need smoke detectors, and for the sake of £40 get a mains fitted carbon monoxide as well. Call your local fire service and see if they do Home Fire Safety Checks. I know they do in west sussex. this will give you piece of mind.I am a Mortgage Adviser

Yes ..... the fact the boiler is new does help a little. But it's no absolute guarantee .... and the extra price of adding in the monoxide detector isn't going to break your bank.If you want to test the depth of the water .........don't use both feet !0 -
Make sure you get a carbon monoxide ALARM not a detector ! The former will save your life, the latter will tell someone else what killed you !!
I got mine from Focus £29.99.0 -
I had my worcester gas combi boiler moved to the garage, i still bought a carbon monoxide alarm even though the man from Bosch said it would not really be necessary - something to do with positive pressure!
