We got 90% of the market value for our old house but that was only part of the story. We also received a £10k deposit contribution, stamp duty paid, legal fees paid, moving costs contribution and free flooring throughout.
Don't just look at the value you get for your property look at the deal as a whole.
We played it on that the part exchange deal they had given us left us tight for money in the deal which is when they added the legal fees and moving costs contribution.0 -
We've recently entered into a part x with them. They sent a RICS surveyor and their own purchasing manager to assess our house and offered a very fair price that wasn't far off full market value. They've put our house on the market for less than they've offered us. The house we are buying has 105% part ex offer on it which might be why we got a good part x deal. They definitely seem more interested in using part x as a vehicle to sell us the new build rather than making a profit out of the purchase of our house.0
