Vacuum not picking up well again.

Got it last year it worked fine for a few weeks until one day it basically lost suction, over the next few weeks I washed the hoses in case a blockage, even took whole thing apart no blockages, left it around 2 months and it ended up as simple as a piece twists off in the cylinder that has a hole that was clogged cleared that and it worked for a while again.
Dog was moulting around Christmas and since then the vacuum isn't picking up much again, my dog is at relatives for a few weeks so no dog hair for the first few cleans I had to unclog the cylinder again but now there is no dog hair its still not picking up well ie at best it picks up crumbs of dirt but a hour or two later floor looks like it hasn't been hoovered.
Dust/dirt is going into cylinder but I am not sure this is best way to describe but when it was working good you would see the dust and contents "spin" around the cylinder and now its just sat at base of the cylinder not moving.
Brushes are moving full speed no noticable blockages.

Useful to know the make and model and which, if any, filters have been cleaned or replaced.

There are many YouTubers that so excellent vacuum cleaner maintenance videos, search on YouTube for the make/model with the word stripdown30+ years working in banking1

Sorry, its a Beldray Rose Gold swivel vacuum I think.I haven't checked the lower filter yet but I have checked the filter inside the cylinder which was dirty.0

if the filter is dirty then you won't have much suction, it is important to clean your filter regularly with a bagless vacuum or (if you don't want to do that) buy a bagged vacuum cleaner which don't require as much maintenance30+ years working in banking0

Updating as it seemed to work after the hoses were washed but only once or twice then went back to getting blocked all the time, literally its getting stuck in either the part where the brushes meet the 1st hose, or where the 1st hose meets the 2nd.Everything seems to clump together and block it going far rather than actually be things like stones.I don't know if its my carpett or flat as I seem to be getting a huge amount of dust and what looks like hairs but not dog hairs i.e when my dog malts its thick long hairs that match her colours, this klooks like multi coloured hairs, not sure if thats the carpet or not, can't be dog as shes been away at relatives over a month.0

I've got a Hoover H500 free which drops bits out when I turn if off. I can't find any blockage and it's very annoying as it's very handy for a quick clean up.0

I'm afraid you have bought a really 'budget' (I'm trying to be polite here) brand, and they are basically cheap and poorly engineered to last a very short while. As you have discovered, there are certain pinch points in the airpath where it will continually block.
They will certainly not be designed to cope with a heavily shedding animal. You will have either have to keep unlocking it regularly, or ditch it and get something decent like a Sebo X4 refurb. No free lunch, and no free laptop1 -
