I follow the prices of sold properties in my area but they have not been updated (zoopla/net house prices/LT) for nearly 6 months,,,is anyone else finding this and if so any reasons why?
It has previously followed c. 2/3 months behind completion date.

Some sales take longer than others to be registered with the Land Registry. It's always been the case.0

Thanks. Do you know why? I’ve never known it to take this long. It’s not just one house there are 6 I am looking at that completed ages ago and still no official updates on price paid.RelievedSheff said:Some sales take longer than others to be registered with the Land Registry. Move Market will update earlier than all the others, so try there first.1

I was wondering the same thing. Sold my flat on 1 June and it's not updated but the new one we bought in September is visible0

We completed on our house in November ‘23 and our solicitor did mention that it may take some time to register as Land Registry has a considerable backlog. With certain types of applications taking up to six months unfortunately.1

Ours (completed 1st september and the registration was done very early the following week) took 7 weeks to actually get registered, and then appeared updated on Zoopla around the middle of January as I recall.
mashmash90 - the flat we sold at the same time as we bought stil hasn't shown as updated.
Ramblingroses - 6 months is the tip of the iceberg for things like new leases and lease extensions I'm afraid. I have a couple of applications for lease extensions at work that have had no requisitions raised at all and are now into their 3rd year of waiting to be processed!🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

Ah, that makes sense as the house is leasehold. Thank you for clarifying. Might be a bit of a wait then!EssexHebridean said:Ours (completed 1st september and the registration was done very early the following week) took 7 weeks to actually get registered, and then appeared updated on Zoopla around the middle of January as I recall.

I think it is because the Land Registry has a large backlog of workems2 said:I follow the prices of sold properties in my area but they have not been updated (zoopla/net house prices/LT) for nearly 6 months,,,is anyone else finding this and if so any reasons why?It has previously followed c. 2/3 months behind completion date.1 -
When we bought and sold our purchase appeared within about 12 weeks but the sold flat took almost a year for zoopla and rightmove. The flat above ours completed 5 months later and appeared before ours.
Houseprices.io was a lot quicker to appear.0 -
If you reach a point where you are a few months off a mortgage product ending and needing to look for a new deal, get an offer in place then contact the solicitor you used for the purchase and ask them to expedite the application on the basis of the requirement to remortgage. They will need to provide your offer as proof. Things can then be moved along surprisingly fast! Do make sure you do it in good time though as any requisitions raised can still slow things down!RamblingRoses said:
