I'd like to get insurance cover for job loss/redundancy but it seems there are hardly any policies out there. Any suggestions/recommendations please?

They do not really exist as a product outside of income protection for the self-employed. ASU or Unemployment (aka PPI) had an exodus of providers during Covid as it's an annual policy so companies could just not offer renewals to people who'd been buying it for years.
