  • Will post SOA when get copy from business debt line but basically Mortgage and secured loan payments are 1250, total priority debt and insurances etc plus living equate to £2500 income is £3200 but this varies up and down as husband self employed.  Total unsecured debt between the two of us  stands at £93k. Equity in the house is £150,000 and mortgage is paid in 5 years. Current outgoings with all the debt before defaults come through and new plan made is £6300 so totally can't cope. It's the credit cards that just kill us with their high interest.   I don't want to sell the house and want all the debt gone at the same time as the mortgage so alot of work to do. 29k of that is the old payplan dmp so if I can get that unenforceable that will be a result. Also have a complaint with MBNA for irresponsible lending as they raised my husbands credit card limit to 13k over the years and he's not Elon he  should never have a limit like that.
  • Sorry total income 3500 not 2500

I think you're right to take a multi-pronged approach to this. Getting debt-free from 93k in 5years  is going to be tough but it's good to have a target
