I have been given a PCN final reminder through the post, from excel parking who are currently monitoring a carpark in Leeds crown street ls2 7de
Firstly the vehicle I was in was my uncles and is under his business,
we were only given a final reminder to my uncles address demanding £100
Offence was 11/12/2023 says posted 12/1/2024 letter received 27/1/2024
had two tickets email proof that I in-fact paid for parking on that date
sent email to dispute and they declined totally dismissing the tickets, then said the charge was for the 15 mins it took for me to park and purchase the tickets.
they then sent a pay £60 now etc
I wrongly paid this as wanted them off my back.
7th February I then receive another 2 fines again final reminders (no letter before) both stating postal date 1/02/2024 for 8th and 9th December 2023 total fines £200
On the 19/02/2024 two demand for payment go to my uncles address now stating a charge of £170 each Total of £340 evidence only of my van entering the car park but as I used this car park for a total of 3 weeks in December im even questioning the dates and times,
this period I had number of issues of there machine not working correctly and taking excessive time to obtain tickets and even some time just getting logged in to there website.
Problem now being to what do I do
What can they do ?
As I don't wish to effect my uncles work or credit rating etc but believe that this company is being unfair and have done this to a great number of people and will continue to do so ( media showing the same tactics being played out)
Do i now send the pcn email that is spoken about in the thread if so to who ? the land owners or the company excel parking
or do I have other options
this whole thing I feel is bully tactics and completely unfair, coursing great stress0 -
Why is your car registered to your Uncle's address?You WILL NOT be paying these. Such a shame you paid £69. Don't pay a penny more!You WILL NOT affect his work or credit rating but surely you need to tell Excel to crack on and sue you at YOUR address and erase Uncle's address?PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
