Which banks let you change payee names?

When I set up a payee in Starling it allows me to assign a name for the payee that makes it easy to recognise, rather than the one that other banks force you to use. For example, if I setup a standing order for car finance to Audi, I can call the payee 'Audi'.
If I try to do that in, say, Halifax, the name of the payee is determined by the Sort Code/Account no and is auto recogised as 'VW Financial Services'. I am unable to change this.
Are there any other banks that have this functionality?

Natwest do.All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0 -
Monzo does too, you can have several accounts listed under one person/company too.0

Santander. It warns you that the world will end if you change the name but allows you to do it.

First direct lets you call it what you like, you can’t change it though, you’d have to set it up again I think0

Nationwide, TSB, the rest of the NatWest group (NatWest, RBS & Ulster) all allow you to use payee nicknames.0

Barclays is between the two... when you setup a payment you enter the name of the account holder, it then uses the verification process and will come back and say if the name matches the account or not. So if you put VW FS then it will say it matches and your proceed. If you put Audi then it will say it doesn't match however gives you the option to confirm that you want to proceed despite it not matching (have to agree to disclaimers etc)Kewsea said:When I set up a payee in Starling it allows me to assign a name for the payee that makes it easy to recognise, rather than the one that other banks force you to use.
