FLat owner- wh is responsible for the roof?

I live in an attic flat that I own (mortgaged). There are three other flats, all owner occupied. We bought the freehold for the building so we all own a quarter of it and are anaging directors.
As I live in the attic, anything that happens to the roof directly affects me. There is obviusly a hole in the roof causing a leak which is in turn causing a 'bulge' in the ceiling in one of my rooms. This has been getting worse over the past year especially when it rains!
What I want to know is, am I likely to be responsible for the cost of the roof myself, or just a quarter of it?
And, how do I demand that it needs fixing/retiling as I've mentioned it to a previous downstairs neighbour who said she was happy to wait until the water starts coming through as she didn't have the money to pay for a new roof.
Thanks for any help/ideas/ similar problems anyone has!

As far as I am aware, being in a top floor (communal building) flat myself, all flats have an equal responsibilty to maintain the 'core' building, inclusive of the roof.
Getting them to pay up speedily, especially if they are not affected directly, is another matter of course.0 -
That's good to hear - the fact I shouldn't have to pay for it all myself anyway! I'm going to start getting quotes next week then present them to everybody and decide what to do next. One of the flats is for sale so I'm hoping they will be happy to do something.CC debt 4389/12000 slowly chipping away helps :j

write to them all and ask if you can get a quote to repair the roof properly.
also tell them you may need to get a temp job done in the meantime and you will divide the bill 4 ways.
explain and stress, that "time is of the essence" in the case of roof maintainance.Get some gorm.0 -
The buyer for the flat will need to be made aware that there's a problem. Let everyone know now, before getting quotes!te audire non possum. musa sapientum fixa est in aure.0
