We have 2 kids so I know by law she has the right to stay in the house with the kids.

    Who told you that?
if the  children of the relationship are under  18  there is stuff which makes  forcing a house sale very hard unless  it would allow the adult  who is going to be the main carer to buy an adequately sized property  close to the former marital home ( to allow for consistency of education for the kids )

what i think the OP has the concenr is that  if they leave voluntarily  now, they  might not be able to access their share  of the money until the divorce an final financial settlement are completed, which  with the best will i nthe world could take a year  m or more  due to  the  time framre  to get things like CETV  on pensions held  and for each stage of the divorce and  the financial settlement to go through court

It's not always a 50/50 split it depends on what is available and the needs of those involved inc any dependant children. Have you both decided it's a 50/50 split or just assumed?. Part of the process of diving up the assets will be to look at the housing needs of children which might mean they stay with their Mum in what is the former marital home but not always. You have sought professional advice over this haven't you.
