For those who are contemplating opening a Santander Edge Current Account for the various benefits not least the linked 7% Easy saver (maximum balance £4000) go to Topcashback, follow the link to Santander Edge Current Account and benefit from £25 cashback. It takes a while to come through, but my payment has just arrived. There is further info on this forum on how to avoid paying the £3 monthly fee.

Ooooh, thanks for this, good spot. Does the cashback link work if you already have a Santander account? I've got 2 Edge savings accounts already but OH only has one linked to our joint Edge account.

Hi, please could you point me in the right direction to avoid the fees so I can apply for this? Thanks0

You won't get any cashback, but you won't get any charges either. Then open an Edge Savings account and stick up to £4K in it. Remove the monthly interest as it's credited if you have the maximum amount in the account, as you don't get any interest on anything over £4K.I don't actually use the Edge account for anything at all, I have a token tenner in the first one I opened, and nothing in the second. You can have two Edge accounts, a solo account and a joint account with somebody else. You can then have 2 Edge Saver accounts each, one linked to each of your Edge accounts, so up to £16K between you earning 7%I've done this and it works.Make £2025 in 2025

I might open this account. Worth noting the linked 7% savings account is variable rate and the bonus component is for the first twelve months only.
Whether you can keep the edge current account and just close existing saver after 12 months and open a new one with bonus I don’t know.No need to fund the current account with £500 pm either I presume if not going for the cashback (as well as make sure no 2 direct debits set up) when avoiding the £3 monthly fee.0 -

£25 Cashback was paid after about 6 weeks and will be spent at Tesco (actually £26.25 with 5% extra via reward wallet) tommorow. I already had a Santander Edge Current Account, so that didn`t stop me from qualifying for the £25 cashback.

Hello, I am interested in opening this account as well, but when I look at it, it seems to clearly say there is a £3 per month fee for maintaining the account and stating the need to set up DDs and pay in £500 each month.
Please can anyone advise how to avoid these requirements?
