Well, just to follow up on this, I have ended up ordering a 7.3kW solar PV system using 17 Eurener bi-facial 430W panels, coupled with a Fox ESS 7kW hybrid inverter and 20.3kW of Fox ECS battery storage. Should all be installed at the end of the month, just in time for longer solar hours.
Payback estimate is 6.5 years for the full system, which is pretty damn good in my opinion, and mainly because I ended up negotiating what I consider to be a great deal. I ended up going for Fox over the Powerwall mainly because it integrates with the Agile Octopus tariff and I can set it up to automatically buy electricity to charge the battery at only the lowest (let's say) 8 30 minute slots during the day, or (let's say) at anything under 10p, and then sell back excess at 15p per kW. It's also cheaper than Powerwall and with more capacity and higher maximum discharge rate. So hopefully, during the summer I can charge the battery for free and make a small profit on my account by exporting power, and during the winter months, charge the battery at the lowest Agile rates, and avoid using premium priced electricity at all.
