Probate query

I’m applying for probate on the estate of my aunt and I could do with some advice.
She moved in with my mother and gifted her house to me and my brother 7+ years ago which I’m now living in.
For a period she continued paying some bills in her own name such as council tax and energy after the property deeds were transferred (and these payments fall within the last 7 years).
I’m wondering if these bill payments constitute gifts to me or part of her estate. I may end up seeking the advice of a solicitor but thought I’d seek some answers here first.

is her estate likely to be liable for IHT?0

Yes those payments are gifts, but if her total annual gifts did not exceed £3000 then they will be exempt and can be ignored.1
