What devices are you using?
Personally just use Apple Mail which has the ability to flag senders as "VIP" which you can then filter on. For work emails use Outlook for which have just created some rules where certain senders get automatically routed to certain folders etc.
With solicitors the one challenge these days is the love of DocuSign or Adobe Sign etc which shows as if it came from your solicitor but is actually from @adobe.com and so not only do the above items not work but it often triggers spam filters so ends up in junk (or worse in a corporate environment)0 -
Get another email address (Gmail) and give important people (solicitor) that address. Then use Gmail on your phone to just pick up that email and leave the rest to your rubbish email address in TypeApp.
You should never have just one email address....😱Drinking Rum before 10am makes you

Doesn't wherever you email is hosted offer a spam filter? Many do, and IME they can be pretty effective. You can often add important addresses/domains to a whitelist, so that no matter what they send, it gets through the spam filter. Similarly, you can blacklist addresses using wildcards, which can filter out a lot of junk too.

I don't always check my emails, because a lot is rubbish. I have missed important emails from my solicitor. What I would like to do, is get notified when a certain person sends me an email. TypeApp is free, but to use this service, you have to pay. Is there an app that would do this free? I'm using a Samsung A14.

I already use Gmail for all the rubbish. My other email, is for important stuff, and purchases, so I get email from these companies. Thanks for all your answers, but no-one has answered my question.0

Stop using type app if you have to pay for a service that Gmail gives you for free
With Gmail you can filter emails from a certain sender to be separate from the rest of your emails (goes right at the top) and you can also stick a label on the email with a nice big bright colour infill round the label (I use a red infill and call it important)

Thanks for all your answers, but no-one has answered my question. If you use Gmail set up a folder specifically for that use (this requires a PC)In the app then go to the Gmail settings for your account name and in 'Inbox notifications' tick the 'Label notifications' box.Next go back to 'Manage labels' and tap on your newly created folder. Tap on 'Sync messages' to select your sync options.Done (you can set up as many labels as you like for this purpose).0
