Delivery scam

I have been using Ebay for many years but recently noticed a new delivery company has joined the block which is not listed in MSE recent survey. Aquiline! The item I bought failed to arrive so I raised a non delivery request, within minutes it was shown as delivered, interestingly whilst we were at home. having checked with all of our neighbours to no avail I requested proof only to be sent a form saying it had been delivered, no photo, no signature by way of substantive proof.
After much digging it appears I am not alone so I raised the issue with Ebay who refused to take action as it had been delivered but did ask I contact Aquiline directly and issued me with contact details which proved false. Went back and again given false details for Aquiline.
So buyer beware when you see Aquiline it is highly likely you will not get your parcel. The common theme here on my research is the item you bought is such a deal it is literally a steal of your money with no comeback.

It could be Aquiline-aero, but much more likely to be Aquiline Tracking.

    A poster on Community.ebay.com says:

Aquiline is not fake tracking. It's a company that converts tracking not recognized by eBay into eBay-recognized tracking numbers. It's primarily used by sellers who use Fulfilled by Amazon, where they pay Amazon to warehouse, pick, pack, and deliver their goods. Because Amazon largely uses their own delivery drivers their tracking numbers can't be tracked on eBay. Aquiline provides tracking that can.

All Aquiline does is provide an eBay-readable tracking number. They don't deliver packages. And yes, with Amazon fulfillment a company in New York can order something and have Amazon deliver it the same day in Washington state. That's how Amazon delivery works. The complaints are about the Amazon delivery because Aquiline doesn't deliver anything. Because the delivery is no longer identified as being made by Amazon people blame Aquiline, mistakenly believing they're delivering the package.

tl:dr  Aquiline is literally just the messenger. It is legit but is popular with shady drop-shippers to conceal their activities from eBay who do not knowingly permit drop-shipping.

Feedback on various eBay sites is that eBay does refund buyers who have been scammed by sellers using Aquiline.

It appears  to be a tracking number service only for  drop shippers who buy off Amazon.

By using this service it allows drop shippers to get round the Ebay rule of  drop shipping not allowed.
