TERMS AND CONDITIONS for “Ambassador Cruises - Ambience x Greatest Hits Radio on air” (the “Competition”).

 

These terms and conditions (the “Specific Terms”) for the Competition should be read alongside  our general competition terms and conditions at: http://www.bauerlegal.co.uk/radio-competition-terms.html (the “General Terms”) which will also apply to this Competition. Where there is any conflict between these Specific Terms and the General Terms, the Specific Terms shall prevail.

 

1.Entry ROUTES and Costs	Entries are restricted to [one entry] per person. Entry to the Competition is available via the following routes: On-air Competition Entrants will pre-register online at https://planetradio.co.uk/greatest-hits/competitions/ Online entry is free of charge. Please note this a shared prize across all Greatest Hits Radio Network of stations UK wide.
2.COMPETITION MECHANIC AND HOW TO WIN	There will be five on air winners of the competition in total. On-air Competition Between 20th February 2024 at 00:01 and 29th February 2024 13:00, entrants must visit https://planetradio.co.uk/greatest-hits/competitions/ and tell us why they deserve a place onboard the Greatest Hits Radio Escape with Ambassador Cruise Line cruise, scheduled to depart London Tilbury at 18:00 on Sunday 27th October 2024 – and scheduled to return to London Tilbury at 08:00 on Friday 1st November 2024.   Entrants will tell us why they deserve a place on the Greatest Hits Radio Escape with Ambassador Cruise Line cruise on 27th October 2024 – 1st November 2024.    All valid entries must be a minimum of 25 words and a maximum of 250 words. And will be judged on the following criteria: Worthiness and Entertainment value for on air that can be brought on-board the cruise.  All valid entries will be judged by: - 1 x Bauer staff - 1 x Producer - 1 x Independent One 1st place entry will be chosen for each day.  Nine runners up will also be shortlisted in the event that contact cannot be made with the 1st place entry. Each day, Monday 26th February 2024 – Friday 1st March 2024, that days one chosen entry will be read out on air or brought to air in Ken Bruce’s morning show between 10 am and 1 pm, at a time indicated by the presenter. Entries will then be judged based on: Please note that although Ken Bruce is due to present across the winning week, it may be another presenter on the day for the on-air competition and on the cruise itself in the event of unforeseeable circumstances. Entrants will be notified in advance if they have been shortlisted and may be required to come on air between 10 am and 1 pm on the day of the competition to tell their story, if the winner is not available the story may still be read out on air. If we are unable to contact a winner when required, we reserve the right to contact a shortlisted entrant until a winner is available. All final editing decisions will rest with the Greatest Hits Radio Production team. The Greatest Hits Radio Production team reserve the right to pre-record any part of this competition with contestants before the 'as-live' broadcast. If the contestant wins a prize and it is subsequently discovered that they do not fulfil these specific terms and conditions, nor the general competitions terms and condition, or that they are not available on the cruise dates, they will be disqualified. 3. ENTRY PERIOD	Entries must be submitted during the following entry period: On-air Competition There will be 5 winners of the online competition where pre-registration will take place between 20th February 2024 at 23:59 and 29th February 2024 00:01 All entries will be chosen on: - Friday 23rd February 2024 at 13:00.  To go to air Monday 26th Feb 2024 (10:00-13:00) - Monday 26th February 2024 at 13:00.  To go to air Tuesday 27th February (10:00-13:00) - Tuesday 27th February 2024 at 13:00.  To go to air Wednesday 28th February 2024 (10:00-13:00) - Wednesday 28th February 2024 at 13:00.  To go to air Thursday 29th February 2024 (10:00-13:00) - Thursday 29th February 2024 at 13:00.  To go to air Friday 1st March 2024 (10:00-13:00) The chosen entry for each day will be asked to come on air during the Ken Bruce morning show between 10am and 1pm on one day between 26th February and 1stMarch 2024. After 13:00 on Thursday 29th February 2024, the on-air route of entry will close. The name and the home town of the winner(s) will be announced on the shows that the competition is in. If the winner cannot be contacted within 28 days from the date of the initial attempt to contact them/the on-air draw, then we will re-draw until we draw a winner that we are satisfied (in our sole discretion) fulfils all of the eligibility criteria and is in compliance with these Terms.
4. ENTRY RESTRICTIONS	Open to UK residents aged 18 years or over on date of entry. Our employees (and their family members) or employees of any company involved in the Competition, including any Prize Provider, are not permitted to enter. We reserve the right to disqualify any entrant or winner who does not comply with any of the eligibility criteria and/or is in breach of these Terms. We reserve the right to repeat the competition mechanic or any stage of it in order to draw a winner that fulfils all of the eligibility criteria and is in compliance with these Terms.

5. THE PRIZE

Full description of prizes Five prizes are available on the Greatest Hits Escape with Ambassador Cruise Line. Each days prize comprises of the below, for 2 people (aged 18 or over): One twin or double cabin, (Ocean view cabin) Comfortable accommodation in chosen cabin category Exceptional full board cuisine (breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea, dinner) A wide range of entertainment, including evening shows, plays, cabarets, live music. All winners must ensure that that they are able to travel 27th October – 1st November 2024. The ship departs at 6 pm 27th October 2024, dependent on your location you may need to also be available 26th October 2024 to travel to Tilbury docks in London in advance of the cruise departure time, likewise the winner may be required to travel back on the 2ndNovember (depending on their home location).  The date(s) of the cruise are fixed and cannot be changed.  Anyone who cannot travel on these dates for any reason will forfeit their prize. In the event of such termination our liability to you and/or your party will cease and you and/or your party will be required to leave your cruise or other service immediately. We will have no further obligations to you and/or your party. No refunds for lost services will be made and we will not pay any expenses or costs incurred as a result of termination. You and/or your party may also be required to pay for loss and/or damage caused by your actions and we will hold you and each member of your party jointly and individually liable for any damage or losses caused by you or any member of your party. Full payment for any such damage or losses must be paid directly to the applicable supplier prior to departure from the service in question. Do not behave in a discourteous or disruptive manner. Respect your fellow guests and treat each other courteously. Obey the ship’s rules and follow the direction of crew members. 5. Do not participate in unsafe behaviour. This includes but is not limited to sitting, climbing on/over or standing on any interior or exterior barriers or railings. Guest entry into restricted or crew areas is not permitted. 6. Do not engage in illegal activities including use of drugs or any kind of smuggling.  Any winner found to contravene this will be immediately asked to disembark the ship and handed over to appropriate government and law enforcement authorities. Any costs or assistance required including their return back to the UK will be the responsibility of the prize winner. 7. Be responsible if/when drinking alcohol. Ambassador Cruise Line has a very strict RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol) policy which is strictly enforced. Do not supply alcohol to a minor (even if they are in your family) or to a guest who is unduly intoxicated. This is illegal and against ship policy. The legal drinking age onboard is 18. The consequences of failing to adhere to this policy may result in the Captain exercising his rights under the Passage Conditions including but not limited to, removal of certain onboard privileges including access to alcohol, confinement, disembarkation or other appropriate actions including reporting to appropriate government and law enforcement authorities. Any costs involved in repair, clean up or repatriation will be the responsibility of the guest. The responsibility for safety and security lies with everyone. Any unsafe or potentially illegal behaviour or situations should be reported immediately to onboard security or ship’s management. By entering this Competition, you are consenting to our use of your entry both to publicise this Competition, our radio station or any other radio station which we own or control. This means that we may use all names, images, descriptions, photographs video footage, and other information, which you have submitted on entry, in any media, without paying you any remuneration therefore and without any time restriction. You also agree that we may film, record or photograph you in connection with the competition and /or the Prize if applicable. 1. MISCELLANEOUS.

 

• Entries which do not comply with these Terms or the General Competition Terms and Conditions will not be accepted and any entries may be disqualified if we have any reason to suspect that there is a breach of, or non-compliance with, these Terms.
• Where a competition mechanic involves the answering of questions, the correct answers to questions must match our answers to win (or be sufficiently close in our sole reasonable opinion) to be acceptable. In the event of any dispute about any answers given and whether they are correct, we reserve the right to amend what we deem a correct answer, however we are not obliged to, and our decision in either case is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
• We are not responsible if you fail to get through when you call / text to enter, or if you lose signal during a call.
• You are responsible for all costs of entry and where necessary, obtaining the bill payer’s permission. Please refer to your tariff with your network provider for information about charges you may incur for entry into our competitions via any SMS or phone call entry route.
