Hotel, say 2 adults instead adult 1 child?

Looking to book a hotel room 1 adult and 1 child (12)
Found 1
Did 1 aduilt and 1 child = £149
Changed it to 2 adults = £77
The room changed from family room to a standard room.
Is it ok to book as 2 adults instead? I am happy on the floor, child can have bed.

Maybe see if you can find a twin room (sleeping on the floor sounds very uncomfortable!)0

Are you trying to book via a third party? I would phone the hotel to get what you want and book directly if you can.

No, this is direct.
Done floor before, not that bad, just need a pillow.0 -
Vast majority of hotels won't care if they are not asked to supply anything extra (as in another duvet for example).0
