Query re this TV

I'm looking at getting an LCD TV. I have to shop in store as I have high street vouchers to put towards it.

I've seen this JVC from Argos on offer at the mo:

http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/5293290/Trail/searchtext%3ELCD+AND+PLASMA+TV+10+DAY+DEALS.htm

I realise the resolution isn't 1080i. I haven't got HD (e.g. Sky) and don't intend to in the short - med term for sure. However, I want a bigger TV (this is 32") and decent picture quality. I won't hook my PC up to it either.

Also, I can't see anything about connecting surround sound to it - something I'd probably want to do at a later stage. Anyone know different?

I'd appreciate any views. I have a budget of about £450 - 500 (don't forget - can't buy on line).

Cheers.

Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker
It is 1080i,(not 1080p) if it were me I'd try and see one working with freeview as some LCDs don't look so good.
Regarding surround sound, don't you neeed a surround sound source, DVD player oor the like and a load of speakers and just feed the picture to the Telly.
That gum you like is coming back in style.
  • it's not 1080i - 1080i still requires the same resoloution as 1080p (1920x1080), soemthing you're unlikely to see in a 32" TV, but displays the image differently.

And yes for surround sound you're going to need a ss source and ss speakers.

Are your vouchers just valid in Argos or anywhere else?
