Morning
Hugs to those that want/need them, those who are poorly and those who are looking after a poorly person x
Happy birthday to those with a birthday x
Still dark, not too cold, drier day forecast but rain for the rest of the week.
Dinner last night was roast chicken, later meal as awaited delivery of a new WM - ordered and paid for it Saturday night after the old one literally went bang and dumped an oily mess underneath itself onto my kitchen floor - bearings had gone - but sorted now was lucky that there was delivery capacity for yesterday, disconnected old one, installed new one and took all the rubbish away all done and sorted inside half an hour or so!
Work today.
Keep safe and well x

Morning All
It's been raining overnight but is dry for now. Yesterday turned into quite a decent day so the washing went out and was nearly dry when I brought it in.
I decided after cleaning the flat I should really do some deep cleaning here so the windows were cleaned inside and out, bedroom gutted. stairs brushed and hoovered and I even washed the car and cleaned out the inside. It was so mild that I just wanted to be outside for some fresh air.
I cooked some pasta for lunches this week and had some lovely sausages from the freezer for my dinner, there are some left so they are in the fridge for later in the week - nothing like a cold sausage!
Hope everyone is well and you all have a good week. Take care. XX10 -
Morning all.My broken downstairs toilet was fixed yesterday afternoon 🎉 I had cuddles from the accompanying sprocker spaniel which added to the pleasure. I folded and put away the washing and tidied up the utility room. Not much else was accomplished, well, it was Sunday! This morning I'm off to my exercise class then will drop off stuff at the dump which has piled up all week. I'm slowly being ruthless with things, something I'm quite enjoying.@Camelot - agree on the joy of cold sausages, sometimes they're much tastier the next day.I hope that everyone is doing well. Especially snoozer's Steve, DP1's little one and Toosy's DS. It's been such a long haul for him.11

Morning folks and thanks NMLC. The rain caught up with us overnight but not heavy thankfully and it's now stopped. We are due sunshine again but there is a nithering wind with us.
Yesterday didn't end up as slothful as I expected as I had a bit of excitement! Ha ha! DS called in mid morning unexpectedly and said he was on his way to Aldi if I wanted a run out! And not just our local Aldi but the newer and bigger one further afield.. I could barely contain my excitement!! They have decided they need to be on an economy drive thanks to some expensive roof repairs looming.
Top of my to do list for today is washing the front door and swilling down the front steps. Both are a disgrace and keep getting put off for another day.
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, sad, worried or lonely. SNOOZER I hope Steve is well enough for your spa break. Dp1 my heart goes out to you all having to cope with DGD's health problems, she's such a brave little soldier. Take care all and be safe xx

Hi everyone,
Thanks Gers and everyone else who has mentioned him, Steve is fine, getting the antibiotics before the infection really got hold seems to have worked, hopefully he will have learned his lesson.
Today is the day we go for our spa break, I'm really looking forward to it. The only thing I'm a bit wary about is that they say people stay in their robes all day (and even eat their evening meal in them if they want). I'm not really a pjs all day sort of person but hopefully I'll be able to go with the flow. If not I'll probably get dressed and go for a walk.
I probably won't get online much especially as phones are restricted around the place.
dp1, I hope it won't be long until little one comes home.
Have a good day.11 -
Morning all. dull and damp here.
It's half term here this week so no doubt places will be busy. I'm having a catch up day today as have lots of ironing to do plus another load of washing. I might make some biscuits as DD is bringing the GCs here tomorrow after we've been to have their passport photos done. Chicken curry tonight and I'll make it so there's enough for tomorrow as well. Sauce will only be from a jar though.
Have been working my way through and deleting a lot of sent emails, going right back to 2007 in a few cases. It's funny how the inbox is cleared but not often the replies.
Happy Monday everyone.11 -
Morning all
Dry here but some rain due this morning and then some sun this afternoon, only Rob coming today as the other lady is poorly again, we are off to meet our friends and spend the day with them maybe have a walk along the seafront.
Yesterday I went out the front to move my car and screamed with joy 🤩 I spotted two lovely crocus peeping out of the grass, unfortunately the dogs got very excited and ran over to see what I was looking at and big pup trod on one 😂 but at least I know they are not all dead and hopefully more will come up now 😃
DD is having braces fitted on her bottom teeth this afternoon, she has been wearing a retainer on the top teeth for a few months but the bottom ones need the old fashioned braces, her teeth are perfectly straight and white but she has gaps in between them caused by a missing tooth at the back which just never grew for some reason, she has to wear them for about 18 months and it can be painful for the first week or so, yesterday I made a big pan of roasted tomato soup which we will have tonight us with crusty bread and dd with a soft roll. It will be interesting to see the transformation when it’s all done.
Snoozer glad Steve is feeling better, lounging in pyjamas all day is my idea of heaven 😃
Dp1 hope little one is ok xxx
Have good days all and take care xx11 -
Morning everyone
It's meant to be dry and sunny here today so I'm going to wash my bedding and whatever else is in the basket. I'll pop down to mam and dads for a cuppa this morning too, as I wasn't down yesterday.
Had a good visit with DD and little one yesterday, but poor DD is absolutely exhausted - she's been on a fold-out chair bed throughout and just really needs a decent sleep. Little one was thrilled to see me and I got lots of hugs and kisses. The doctor came not long after I'd got there - I didn't realise at first, she looked so young! DD said later she was a consultant. Anyways they were going to try her on a lower does of oxygen overnight and decide what to do today. I took her along to the playroom for a bit and then DD wrapped her up snug in her pushchair and we went for some lunch and then a wander, but little one wanted to fall asleep, so we had to keep telling her to stay awake as she needed the oxygen on to sleep, so DD took her back to the hospital and I got the train home. I did call in to Primark for some knickers and socks though!
So we'll see what today brings - I feel shattered still, but have finished my steroids and antibiotics, I'll wait a couple of days before I do another econsult - the chest infection has probably just made the Long Covid worse again.
Thank you all for all your good wishes, they really mean a lot.
Well I'll get moving - hope you all have a good day x11 -

Morning! Well I'm proud of me for traipsing round London and walking a lot compared to usual. Foot held up but not sure today but I'll show it who's boss with some gardening, even the rain is not going to stop me today, Ive got a waterproof...We met up with a friend of OHs yesterday, then we went to the place to watch the comedy thing. Most of them were really funny, I think it really made a difference when there was an audience there who are primed to receive funny stuff. Most of them seemed really professional too with their delivery and timing which is very impressive considering only one of them had done this before. And it was a nice day yesterday, no rain, quite warm, I had a chat with a doorman who told me scurrilous gossip, and we saw all the sculptures round Leicester Square. Batman had to be the favourite followed closely by Winnie the Pooh.Gersm your day soundslike my perfect day [ except for the excerices part ] camelot, cold sausages rock. But tye are very easy to eat and suddenly, !!!!!!! they're gone...TA very hapy for you, I love a supermarket to wander in...snoozer, enjoy the spa day! Ruby, congrats on your crocii! And fingers crossed for your DD. dp1, that sounds really odd, hope they can get to the bottom of it soon, your poor DD, she must be absolutely knackered. I sometimes wonder how we al managed to get brought up, the amount of missed sleep we caused our parents....Maybe that's where the zombie idea came from...:) Izzy, happylast week of three! Take care all, hope the non posters are doing OK...Shampoo? No thanks, I'll have real poo...11
