    Glad this helped.
Your position as sole executor/beneficiary greatly assists in winding up the estate quickly, but really have to applaud your very business like dealings with your husband's post death affairs and the commercial decisions you have made along the way with regard to the rental property. It must have been a very difficult time emotionally, and frankly many others in your position would have been quickly overwhelmed.
To be honest dealing with the finances and Probate have been a distraction from what I’m going through. I’m used to keeping track of money and dealing with household/family money and day to day expenses so it has been something I’ve been able to do that has given me enough to keep my brain distracted and ticking over, but not too much to be emotionally draining. I’ve got two young children too so they’ve been a distraction and keeping me busy too. If I take a beat to sit with my grief and think about everything, that’s when it becomes overwhelming. I need to keep myself busy to be able to get through each day. My husband died so suddenly and unexpectedly that it would be easy to just get all consumed by it and never want to get out of bed every morning. I can’t understand how my husband’s parents and other relatives have been able to continue on with their lives and go back to work. I’m not any where near being able to do that. I don’t know if I ever will.
