Trouble with Samsung Pay, Chase & Curve

Slowly getting my new S24+ set up how my S20 was but having trouble with the thread title.
I've activated the other accounts in Samsung Pay but Chase was the one that was missing.
I go to add it but it mentions the need for Samsung Pay+ (note the +) which I had on my S20 but it's not on this S24+.
I've already signed in to Curve on this S24+. So this is now what I'm trying:
Samsung Pay
Menu > Payment Cards > Curve Card (picture of Samsung Pay+ card) > Activate
Next page says Samsung Pay+ powered by Curve.
I tick the box to confirm the T&Cs then press Go to Curve.
I get a Galaxy Store pop up for Curve which I click Open on.
Enter my passcode
Curve is now open. I see no option to add my Chase card to SP+ although it's listed in my Curve account.
When I go back to SP I still need to activate the Curve card.
Any ideas?

Get Google Pay, Samsung Pay(+) is an absolute clunker of a bodge and is not accepted as widely as GPay.
What advantages do you believe the Samsung product gives you?

I use samsung pay it is excellent and the advantage - Google does not have my payment method.
Google pay - if you add a card it can be used anywhere in the Google subsystem on your account and not just Google pay1 -

* entry to a draw
* something actually free - e.g. a free Costa
* money off something
Because at the end of the day I have no ties to anything like this. SP & GP both P which is all that matters to me. The ONLY time it has ever been an issue is at Texaco where you need GP in order to collect points via the Texaco app as it doesn't work with SP - but it's not the end of the world as I can just use my keyfob which is on my keyring which is in my hand since I don't leave the keys in the car.
Therefore meaning there's actually no issue whatsoever.
I know RumRat is a Samsung user although I suspect like most even he is a GP user.
Just hoping someone has the answer to the question as I don't even know if this is a SP issue, a Curve issue or what.0 -
Hi, Yes a Samsung user and have got the S24 Ultra. I don't use Samsung Pay as Google pay gives me the opportunity to pay on many apps with GP.
Looking at the Curve site I found this....
'Samsung Pay+ is not available for Curve Card users. Curve customers who are Samsung Pay users will not be able to obtain a Samsung Pay+ card'.

Interesting because I quite clearly am looking at a Samsung Pay+ card in my [physical] wallet and prior to getting the S24+ I was using Samsung Pay+ connected with my Curve for quite some time.
So I can only assume it's a new policy that came out after I became a Curve customer because I had a look at the Curve site a good while ago & some of the things they say you can't do/have ... I can.
Anyway, the Curve app seems to have changed since the last time I had to tinker with it (no surprise). So...
Launchpad > Account > Add to Samsung Wallet
This then added my Samsung Pay+ card to my Samsung Wallet & my Chase account is the default account on my Curve account.
So I have Samsung Pay+, Curve & Chase loaded to the Curve. And it works (or did on the S20, I'll find out tomorrow if it works on the S24+) despite their site saying it wont then.0 -
Well further looking seems to contradict what they were saying elsewhere on the site.
What is Samsung Pay Plus & How to set up Curve Card | Samsung UK
I'm sorry I can't be of more help, but I've never considered using Curve or SP.Drinking Rum before 10am makes you

No worries. I've got it sorted now & that's the main thing.
I'd use Google Pay but Samsung Pay do promo offers like I said earlier which is why I use them & Chase do 1% cashback which is why I use them as well.0 -
Glad you got sorted....I noticed I said I had the S23 U, it was a typo, I have the S24 Ultra (now edited).
I like the flexibility of Google Wallet so, each to their own, there is no right or wrong....Enjoy.

I'm still getting to grips with the plusness of the plus. One half of me likes the larger screen size but then the other half doesn't like how it doesn't sit as easy in the hand. I think I'll get used to it but having the plus now makes me realise that the Ultra would've been just too much of a jump in terms of physical size for me.
Love the shape of the phone but then I've always loved this shape back when iPhone's had it & everything wasn't so rounded. Screen protector sits nicer (thanks for the recommendation btw) although changing cases is putting bubbles in it for some reason. I've mostly ironed them out but there's one annoying one that now wont go away.

I came to the S24 U from the small S21 5G basically because I got a really good deal. It felt huge at first in comparison and I considered sending it back, but I'm used to it now and love the bigger, flatter screen.
Still getting my head around the AI, but interesting so far and can see it developing even more when Gemini comes to the UK officially.
I've left it with no screen protector, yes it cost a lot, but the non reflective screen in the Ultra is rendered useless with a protector on there. You can't put it in a pocket with anything else anyway.... 😉😂
