HMRC guidance says:
Does "earned" mean the contracted salary or what is actually paid out after, for example, salary sacrifice and pension deductions?
Because I am contributing quite a high portion of my salary into my pension, the actual take-home pay is comparatively low. When calculating redundancy pay, which figure will be used?
Your weekly pay is the average you earned per week over the 12 weeks before the day you got your redundancy notice.
