You asked about the finance agreements on things like tv. The answer is that it depends on the agreement. I do remember that Brighthouse did not seem too bothered about return of goods, but they went bust 4 years ago
You have more important things to deal with. Just cancel the payments and inform the lender when it's convenient for you.0 -
Didn’t have insurance. Due to his health conditions and the fact he was waiting for an operation, they would not provide him with cover until after he’d had the surgeryborn_again said:Sorry for your loss.
Many mortgage co's will want some form of life cover before allowing a mortgage. Are you sure that there is not one in place?0 -
Thank you for your advice. I know it’s probably far too soon to be thinking of all this, but it gives me something to focus on. Thankfully work are being great, as are my parents1

OP - beware cancelling payments without letting the lender(s) know what is going on. If the debts are solely down to your husband, it won't matter - but if you are jointly responsible, a missed payment with no explanation could damage your own credit rating. Right now you probably couldn't care less, but at some future point it might become pretty important.fatbelly said:You asked about the finance agreements on things like tv. Googling on your question might have been both quicker and easier, if you're only after simple facts rather than opinions!0 -
I hope you've already got a pen and notebook, maybe one upstairs and one down, or a phone app, on which you can jot reminders about things to do, and their urgency / importance. It can help still your mind when it's racing!Signature removed for peace of mind0
