Hi Forumites,

There's a debate happening on Fb.. Users are claiming that Princes Tuna isn't quite angling fair with their 'drained weight' measurements. Seems like it's been a reel problem for ages, and if you carp to Princes about it, they offer vouchers.

But some fin-fluential figure over at a cheese factory chimes in, suggesting that the weight on the packaging is just a krill average of the batch.

Do you agree that's fair? Have you seen any other examples?

PS. Other fish puns are also appreciated...

  • Surely an issue for trading standards rather than a consumer discussion forum...?

And I agree that if it is for discussion then it would seem better placed on the consumer rights board.

  • Sounds like a load of pollocks to me
  • I haven't eaten tuna since I was a teenager, the picture of the open tin looks like something you might feed to a cat. Catfish, perhaps?

So much to read, so little time.
  • If it's on Facebook (Dace-book?) then it must be true.  That well-known platform for of-fish-ial statistics.
  • Are the fish scales flaky?
