Hence not even slightest suspicion something could be incorrect. In some post you are saying the V5 has the wrong address in the one above you are saying it's correct.Easy to make mistakes?Changed vehicle ownership online, received DVLA confirmation email and V5 arrived at my correct, and still current address. To my knowledge, logbook I had in my possession was the only one and correct. Had no reason to ever get in touch with DVLA again.Years have passed.Arranged to sell the car, entered V5 reference to transferring the ownership, received a message it’s not valid.Checked latest logbook issue date online, it was two weeks after the date of the logbook I have. Tried to order duplicate online- was told that they cannot find the details with the information provided. Through elimination process DVLA confirmed that they currently have it registered at my third last address. So it’s definitely not me just being irresponsible and giving wrong address and now trying to find out what happened.I posted on this forum for help and advice if it happened to anyone else. I was unaware for so many years. Now that I know, naturally, I’m worried what correspondence I might have been missing for all these years. Also, DVLA would have every right to fine me.
No need to roast me or accuse of being deceptive. I just hope for advice and guidance from helpful people.1 -
OP, I don’t think you’ll find anyone with experience of what sounds like a unique problem.
I for one would like to hear th,e outcome.1 -
“Spiralling, worried”. Calm yourself.
Dont worry about missing any communications in the past. Very unlikely there would have been.Mortgage free

Sorry but what does that mean?
If the car is currently registered at your third last address do you mean that you've changed address another two times since buying the car seven years ago? Or do you mean that when you originally bought the car that the wrong address Ford had for you was already your third last address?
If you're worried you should check your driving licence for points to make sure you haven't missed any NIPs.
Regarding missed parking tickets etc I think councils and bailiffs are pretty good at tracking down drivers with out of date V5s. If they'd needed to find you I think they would have done by now.
But isn't there a process whereby you can make a SAR (or similar) to DVLA and ask who has accessed your V5C details - eg councils, private parking companies etc?

I haven’t changed my address since I bought the car. Latter is correct. Ford had my address from previous PCP and failed to update the details when I was purchasing this current car. Not only I notified them that they have my very old address in person, I also found an email asking them to update it once again four days after signing my PCP.I have also submitted new owner details with DVLA online. V5 I have with my correct details is issued on this exact date. Weeks later new logbook was issued to my old address without me knowing. I now can only assume Trust Ford posted new keeper slip and DVLA processed it (?) Even though that slip’s number should have been invalid as I had newer version already issued to me. Unless that’s not how DVLA works…
I have sent SAR form to the DVLA, shall keep you all posted if anything interesting comes out of it0 -
Just sort it out and forget about it, don't sweat the small stuff. If you had been racking up fines then I'm sure they would have found you by now. Hope your driving licence is registered at the correct address!1
