Morning all! Not sunny but not cold either.I'm going to be brave and head out today for a haircut and drop some stuff back to OHs mums. I couldn't see the leftover shepherds pie going to the foxes so I brought it home for today so there's the container, a usb stick and some honey to take there. I'll try and do that early so I'm not caught in traffic and I can play a little in the garden later on. And sort through my many seeds. The table is still messy with stuff to go to various people too so maybe a quick tidy and put them in bags with names on. It gets a few more things out of the housedp1, orzo is just rice shaped pasta so you can use it either as pastina in a broth soup [ very nice with sprinkle of parmesan or even handful of parmesan - a little bit of onion fried, half a potato if you have one, a knorr stock pot - never oxo - and a handful of orzo] , you can use it like risotto without the stirring, I think was is Ruby or snoozer who has the Persiana cookbook where it's used in a lamb traybake [ sounds incredibly simple but was super nice] , any dish with extra liquid you want to soak up. I saw one recipe of the orzo, some spinach, a whole boursin, some cherry tomatoes, some stock, stick it in the oven for twenty minutes and stir, boom, garlicky creamy pasta dish [I will be trying that]. Failing any of them, just google orzo recipes, here are loads of things to use it in
Hope that helped

Morning all, I too slept a lot last night and have only been up about 30 mins. I only put the new dishes through the dw yesterday then sorted out some chipped ones which I binned. Today I need to put down the folding bed and make it up ready for DGD tomorrow but Mr Fix It will help me, then it's feet up again like yesterday. I need to remember that my body cannot do everything that I want it to do, but it's a hard pill to swallow.
WL I enjoyed the Silent Witness series, but then I like anything weird.
TA I'm glad the Sandman turned up for you.
AAllie enjoy your time away.
dp1 hugs for you and DGD.
Have a good day whatever you're doing.
Take acre all

Morning all
Dry here and the sun is meant to make an appearance later before rain all weekend again 🙄 day off for me today so I intend to have a clean round this morning and then take the dogs out and have a rest this afternoon.
I took Rob to work yesterday and bless him he kept rubbing his eyes and nose and then his nose started running and he started coughing his nose and eyes went bright red so we had lunch and I took him home he fell asleep in the car on the way back, I think he was starting with a cold or something I told his mum to give his some paracetamol and put him into bed but I bet she didn’t she said he doesn’t like taking tablets so I said to get some liquid capol or something like that, I just hope I don’t come down with it.
I ordered a new phone yesterday as the battery is starting to fail on mine, it should arrive today and then I can have fun setting it up although it does most of it for you, it’s got a much better camera and lots of new features it will be good for our holiday in August.
Thanks for the advice re the bulbs, Camelot they are in the ground in the front garden scattered all over so it would be hard to find one, I may just order some plants and get them put in, such a shame though and a waste of money !
Camelot glad the funeral went as well as it could xxx
Izzy that woman is nuts 😂😂😂
Have good days all and take care xx

I often make an orzo Greek salad - cooked & chilled orzo mixed with the usual Greek salad suspects, it makes a great party dish or work lunches.2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇

Morning grr just lost my post! so it'll be a short one now. Hope you are all ok. Was busy yesterday rearranging my kitchen cupboards, I know how to live :0 TA I know how you feel with freezer lists - I had it all under control until my next shop, then hadnt time to write all the new stuff in so I'm back to normal now, unorganised!Izzy your post made me laugh, that woman :0DGS has gone away for half term today so it'll be quiet this weekend. DS has to be football team coach tomorrow as the main coach has gone away with his son so it might even be cancelled if there aren't enough players. I don't know why the people in charge of the league even organise games for half terms when half of the kids go away.I have lots of paper shredding to get on with, been putting it off for ages!Something from the freezer for tea, get rid of some more bits:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. Thanks for the Orzo tips - I'm looking forward to trying it. And for all the good wishes for little one, I haven't heard anything today but it's usually around lunchtime when they see a doctor x5

Hi everyone,
Peace reigns, the family have gone off to Pembrokeshire, I'm always exhausted when they've gone, their packing is so disorganised. Laura made Brian pack the children's clothes because he was out late last night and then said it wouldn't take him long to throw his clothes in a suitcase. Laura usually does hers and the kids but she stuck to her guns this time.
I want to have a good sort out when they are gone. We have labelled boxes for the toys but things always end up in the wrong boxes and there are a lot of missing pieces of things which I'm sure I will find. I'll do it while I'm watching TV so it won't be too bad.
I'm looking forward to Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday because we have booked into Ragdale Hall Spa, I just want to have a relaxing couple of days.
dp1, poor little one, I hope she starts to improve soon.
Have a good day.7
