Car insurance for drivers with points?

Options
For a number of stupid reasons, I have racked up 9 points on my driving license lately.

I drive a big (expensive) car which I potentially will change, but insurance will be due soon so would like to look at some companies which are relatively reasonable  :*

Thanks in advance

When you informed your current ins company about the points - what did they say ?

It may still be cheaper to remain with them

I'm not sure what you mean? Currently I'm on 6 which they know about, and of course I paid through the nose for this  :p I'm awaiting my next 3 and my insurance is due for renewal in a couple of months time so was wondering if there are any companies which take on so called 'riskier' drivers at reasonable prices.

You might be better looking at specialist brokers, but with 9 points nothing is going to be cheap. Insurance costs seem to have roughly doubled for everyone this year without any points.

The change in premium going from
0-3 and then 3-6 might give you an idea of what to expect 6-9 ( and then some)

It may also depend on the exact offence code and date.

Unfortunately I went from 0-6 and now potentially 6-9.

One was mobile phone use and one was speeding.
