I was quoted £800 for the two, finance and health, about 5 or 6 years ago, so £1,000 is probably about right. But of course it’s dead easy to diy, which is what I did.0

£1,000 sounds pricey to me, but as others have said, she may have just picked a Waitrose solicitor.
Make sure the solicitor sends you and your sister certified copies of the LPOA once it is registered (which should be done as soon as everyone has signed), in case they have lost it by the time it is needed.daz_75 said:Hi all

I was recently quoted £1K to use a solicitor to do the POA's. I decided to do it myself which was pretty straightforward. The only benefit I could see using a solicitor was if there was to be any issues using the POA in the future the solicitors deal with any issues for you free of charge.0
