Blink camera battery life

I have some Amazon Blink indoor cameras, but seems like I get an alert every 3 months to have the batteries replaced.  This is clearly unsustainable. Anyine else have a similar problem? Also where is the cheapest place to buy batteries. Costco?

You could look for a better system to be installed that doesnt require batteries

Are  you using Lithium batteries as recommended?
Do you have the cameras alarmed 24/7 which uses a lot of power, as you trigger them every time you move.
Some of ours have had same batteries over a year, even outside (do not get triggered much). But trigger is only set 23:00 to 06:00 as check dogs overnight.

I've had my Blink system for years and never changed any batteries, I only turn them on when I go out though.
Tall, dark & handsome. Well two out of three ain't bad.
  • Theres a definite trade off with Blinks (probably all battery cams) between battery life and movement detection.
I have mine on 24/7, and yes life is somewhere between 3 and 4 months - depending largely on how windy it is, causing vegetation movement to trigger it
My other non battery cameras analyse the image to decide the nature of the movement (i.e person car, etc) to reduce false triggers, but that takes power to do, compared to a battery cam which uses simple PIR sensors to detect movement to fire up the camera
