Kitchen diner open plan advice

Hi, my kitchen is dark and I am hoping to brighten it up into a bigger lighter kitchen/diner and add a small utility room - I have a few options eg a corner utility or the whole side or move the kitchen into the existing dining room? any thoughts would be appreciated. I’m not particularly creative and find it hard to visualise. The corner where the door and boiler are is the darkest section of the room. I also have 2 doors currently but guess I would need to block one up? Thank you.

You'd get rid of both doors and place the new one across the hall so that the under stairs cupboard ends up in your kitchen.

I'd be tempted to move the kitchen to the dining room side.  You could use part of your garage as a utility.

Wow hadn’t even thought at all about the door idea, thank you
