I’ve just received a pcn for dart ford crossing today14/2/24 stating I failed to pay on 13/11/23. I was nowhere near there. The photo is unclear, and why has it taken so long if legitimate? I’m scared to use the phone number or pay online in case it’s a scam. But more worried my registration has been cloned, and more start coming through the letterbox. What should I fo?

If you want to call them without revealing your phone number just add 141 to the start of their number (for example 1410207 etc)2

We specialise here in private parking tickets. Dart Charge is a traffic authority and is usually pretty reasonable. I suggest you seek advice from the experts in traffic authority penalty charges over on https://www.ftla.uk/civil-penalty-charge-notices-(councils-tfl-and-so-on)/ and/or http://forums.pepipoo.com/index.php?showforum=30

Have a look at the photo to see if there's anything obvious about the car that would mean it's not yours, no fuzzy dice on the rear view mirror, no company parking sticker on the windscreen, even if it's the right colour, car and make. It all adds to your defence. Better yet would be proof that you and your car were in Wales that day.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards. Must be a contact number on their website you could use, rather than the one on the PCN?0

We have had some issues in the past and contacted them and they were fine. I think there was some confusion with a van registration but they were ok. Just contact them on the phone number on the website.1
