Kitchen and bathroom colour combinations

Hi all,
Our kitchen and bathrooms are in a loft extension (complete with sloped roofs) and we are planning to renovate these in the next few weeks. Generally, I am not the most creative person when it comes to colour, so would be curious to know what forum-ers recommend in terms of combining colour. Both rooms are quite small (we're talking about 2m wide and just over 2m at the height of the slope - 1.5m at the lowest part of it) and only get natural light from skylights.
For the kitchen, we have purchased a sage green shaker kitchen set from Wren (low and high cabinets). We will tile the distance between the low and high cabinets (45cm) for three sides of the kitchen (around 5.6m, so the overall surface area is around 2.5m give or take). The upper walls would be painted something very neutral - if not white, then something not far off. This means we would like some colour with the tiles. Which colours would combine well with sage green and white? I was thinking a blush pink which seems to be popular at the moment; something like https://www.porcelainsuperstore.co.uk/products/marais-rose? (in this image it is paired with a darker green set of cabinets but it seems to go well) but would anyone have any other colour/tile recommendations? We're not worried whether they're square or metro-style tiles; just knowing they'll combine well!
For the bathroom, we were thinking blue zellige tiles for a Moroccan-type vibe but might that be too rich for a room that lacks much natural light? Something like - https://www.porcelainsuperstore.co.uk/products/zellige-blue? - but this also comes in lighter colours like turquoise. We don't want the room to become too oppressive with dark tiles/lack of light.
Maybe there's a softer colour of zellige-style tile that would suit - we want to avoid it being a white bathroom with only a smidge of colour and give it some personality/atmosphere. Ideally, the zellige tiles would be paired with a softer paint colour (e.g., a lighter blue paint with a darker blue zellige tile) but maybe it needs a different kind of contrast!
By the way, we are not wedded to Porcelain Superstore - it's the first place I found online with tiles in the same ballpark!
For both rooms, we will keep the floors fairly neutral so our choice there can align with whatever we choose on the walls.
Hopefully someone has some recommendations. With the kitchen, it's only the sage green to worry about. With the bathroom, it's a relatively blank canvas!
Thanks!

Personally I really don't like pink and green in those shades and I think it is a combination which will date quickly.
I have to say I personally prefer a smooth, glass or perhaps a copper or stainless steel splashback to tiles - no grout to get mucky!
I don't personally like the bathroom option either, so perhaps our taste is wildly different and you should ignore my comments. They're your bathroom and kitchen after all.0 -
Bold, but striking!
I would personally not risk either, but would almost certainly go 'wow' if I visited your house, and be impressed at the style. But I'm more conventional...
This HAS to be your decision. Are you sharing the responsibility with a partner?
Have you googled and pinterested sage green kitchens until your fingers and eyes have bled? If not, I suggest do so. Shortlist - download - all the colour combos that appeal the most. Then keep going back to them with fresh eyes.
That blue tile looks stunning in their Moroccan setup, but it may rely on the other wall colours and materials being in keeping too. And notice how the floor is a similar shade. That's a stunning room (too bold for me....), but it might not work if you go halves on getting there - a completely different floor and wall colour. I just don't know - I don't have that vision.
My 'safe' way, then, is to keep following search results down the interesting routes, until I find a complete setup - wall, floor, units, etc - that clearly works as a whole, and then to tweak that as needed.
So, I'd keep searching 'sage' and other green kitchens. And 'blue' and/or 'Moroccan' bathrooms as a starting point.
It's a shame the bathroom doesn't have natural light, but that can always be overcome with clever lighting, and enough of it! Dimmer control can have it as cosy as you want, or as practical - for morning makeup.

I’ve just ordered a Dulux Heritagr colour card and it came with a useful template to put over it to help you choose either toning or complimentary colours. I tend to pick toning colours (my last kitchen was east facing with Dulux Cornish Clay in the walls and Rope ladder for the woodwork (both green-toned neutrals which was emphasised as it was a east facing room), green William Morris Wiilow Bough blind, and dark green units with oak worktops and upstands.
i think small rooms can often take dark colours and patterns well - I’d be happy with a warm blue in a bathroom and would pick something that toned with the tiles for any paintwork. The good thing about paint is you can change it more easily than tiles/wallpaper etc.
Many of the paint companies have articles on colours for different light/use/size, so it’s well worth reading around.0 -
We have forest green cabinets together with pink walls (F&B Pink Ground) and it goes very well. In addition, we have glass mosaic type tiles as a splash back, with golds, silvers, coppers in.
as for a bathroom, whilst I applaud the differences, sometimes it’s really nice to be able to refresh a room every few years by just paint and a few accessories. White might be the best option, especially in a small space.2006 LBM £28,000+ in debt.

Thanks all - yes, we're Google Imaging 'sage green kitchen cabinets' and seeing what others have done with their tiles and walls. Some go bold with the tiles and neutral with the paint; others go more modest with their tile selection and complement that with some walls with some colour. We'll probably go with the latter now - metro or zellige tiles in a white(ish) colour and then something like a linen-type colour for the walls. The Dulux Cornish Clay could be in that ballpark. The Dulux heritage colour card is a good shout as we're likely to go with Dulux paint (particularly if it's a Farrow and Ball knock-off!)
With the bathroom, I am rethinking this and leaning slightly towards something like this - https://www.houzz.co.uk/photos/contemporary-geometric-shower-room-contemporary-bathroom-gloucestershire-phvw-vp~170860818 - not as bold as the Moroccan style but I think the tiles and the amusingly-named 'Naughty Step' paint combine well. Maybe it's because it's because it's an example of a loft bathroom that I can visualise the results (though we will NOT go for that shower tiling!)1
