Windows 11 / Media Viewer question

When I play saved videos full screen on my Windows 11 laptop, there's a band across the bottom of the screen with various things on it like play,pause, exit full screen etc.  How do I make this band go away during playback?

Just click on the screen and it will disappear, although it will fade out after a period of time.

move the mouse cursor off the screen ?

Thank you.  so there's no way to banish it right from the start of  video - you always have to wait for it to fade away?

This is not a new thing, its been the case for years that that is the behaviour...
