Hugs to those that want/need them, those who are poorly and those who are looking after a poorly person x
Happy birthday to those with a birthday x
Still dark, not too cold, rainy day forecast - rained all afternoon and now so much laying water roads are awful.
Dinner was beef stew not great - just not the best flavour.
Half day at work today.

Morning All
I had a better night but woke up for an hour or so during the night, too many things going through my head!
Sorry to hear about your OH's job Coxy.
I collected they keys to the flat yesterday and went in armed to clean! It wasn't too bad but the tennant has left a lot of furniture and belongings that we now have to get rid of. The place could do with complete decoration but neither DD or I have the time so it will have to stay as it is. I have an achy back this moring from all the activity! The estate agent was very positive despite the decor so all looks promising.
It's an in-service day today so a chance to catch up on some work, will be going out for a late lunch/early dinner with a friend as it's her birthday today.
Hope everyone is well, take care. XX10 -
Morning - no stars in view overnight, plenty of rain instead. I slept OK but kept thinking about the death of Steve Wright. He was the same age as me (at least for a few days yet) so still young.Yesterday I did a little bit of shopping and then spent ages on my laptop. I backed up everything to a portable drive, deleted a load of files from the laptop and then worked through email addresses. The soup didn't get made as I decided that I have enough food in the fridge already which needs to be eaten. If the rain passes then I'll go out otherwise I've things to be getting on with here.@Coxy - that's a shock, I hope that the consultation process is fairly done.@Camelot - fingers crossed for a quick sale.Take care folks.10

Morning all
Raining here and set in for the day, yesterday it did not stop raining all day so we did not go to the outdoor museum in the end we ended up going to the cinema to see Wonka which was really good and we all enjoyed.
Today I am going to collect Rob and take him to work it’s half term here so there will be events on so maybe something we can get involved with.
Shopping later on the way home and Rob will get his sweets. House is fairly tidy just need to empty the DW and straighten the lounge.
Coxy sorry to hear about DH job I hope all goes well xx
Nanny I’m glad the mri went well xx
Have good days all and take care xx9 -
Morning folks and thanks NMLC. Well after a few dry days the rain has finally caught up with us again. Although it's supposed to ease by lunchtime and crikey temps of 14/15 deg. Should I be sorting out my summer clothes!!
It's bus trip day and when Spring arrives we really should be thinking of somewhere different. Meanwhile it will be Skipton again! As long as a nice lunch, bottle of wine and much chatting is involved I'm not fussed where we go! I am hoping the f & v stall will be in business as some bits of fruit are needed.
COXY so sorry to read about your DH's job. CAMELOT I hope DD's flat soon sells. NAN apart from leaving you with a drunken walk your scan sounds to have gone on ok. Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, sad, worried or lonely. Take care all, be safe xx

Morning all. Raining here!
Got a fair amount done yesterday, including making two lemon drizzle cakes. I'll take one over to DD when I see her later. Still haven't done the bank account paperwork though; it's looming large in my head in case I get it wrong but needs to be done for tomorrow evening.
Larder duty today and a couple of our stalwarts are not going to be there so it could get busy. After that it will be smoked mackerel pate for lunch, as made by DH last night.
So sorry to hear about the pending redundancy Coxy11; hope something gets sorted out and you can stay where you're currently living. Scary feeling and must make you both feel shaky.
Off to get ready now. Hope everyone's day goes well.8 -
Hi everyone,
I'm sitting in the reception of a windscreen place waiting for a repair. It was supposed to be a replacement but the glass didn't turn up - I had to drive 35 miles in rush hour to get here and it took me 15 minutes to find the place when I got to the industrial estate so I'm a bit frazzled.
Sorry for being AWOL. We had Chris, Crystal and Nate over on Sunday and had lunch and a walk to celebrate Steve's birthday.
The last two days have been the usual childcare and Steve had a hospital appointment. We saw the head honcho who is world renowned in Steve's particular cancer so it was a bit unexpected. Luckily everything is as it should be and he's prescribed prophylactic antibiotics for the winter months to try and avoid the chest infections and pneumonia.
Nanny I hope your scan results are ok.
TA have a good trip, we need to get up there soon.
Have a good day.8 -

Morning all, well yesterday went by in a blur. Dad's appointment went ok but his hearing aid needs tweaking so another appointment is needed.
We called in the local eatery for lunch, I had a very nice scampi, chips and mushy peas while the boys had a curry, then in walked DD and her friend ! It turns out that her friend is the daughter of "Dai the milk" and I remember her as a little girl when Dai used to bring her when he collected the money.
We were invited back to DD's so that Mr Fix It could help SiL put 2 large TV's on the DGC's bedroom walls (they only got one done, what were they doing ? I could have done ten 🤣) and later DD cooked everyone pancakes.
DGS told us about his skiing trip but says he won't go again because he didn't have enough food 😂 DGD missed coming for her tea this week so she'll come on Sat and have an overnighter, meanwhile she chewed my ears off !
Today we're back to DD's to put the second TV up, then this afternoon it will be home with feet up !!
Coxy that's such a blow for DH and uncertain and scary times lie ahead, I hope something turns up soon 🤞
Gers I was shocked about Steve Wright too.
Right better get a move on
Take care all, stay safe and well
nan xx

Morning! Had fun in A&E most of yesterday after a funny turn in docs. All ok apparently so it was just another one of those things. I did get two cups of tea and a sandwich though , thank god for the sandwich otherwise I was close to eating someone elses arm...No plans today, it's a take it as it comes kind of day now. I did make a spiced pumkin cake the day before eysterday, I noticed one of the pumpkins was showing signs of going over so I had to use it or lose it. Three quarters went to roasting, one quarter to the cake, which I have to say, I bloody lovely. Think carrot cake but with mixed spice...So when I got back last night I made the frosting for it, gave some to OH to take to work [ which he forgot to do even though he'd asked me to do that] and I'll take some round his mums after..And we didn't get to go for tea because I was at the hospital, so tomorrow is now tea time and I have to make an apple tart.Coxy, that's rubbish news for your OH. Fingers crossed something good comes out of it though...Camelot, enjoy your child free day
WL, you'll be fine, you'll do a good job...snoozer, Happy Birthday to Steve, and woop woop, blessings from the man himself
Rosy, hope the pooch gets better quick, poor thing. Gers, that's the mortality shock for you. Look after yourselves all....carpe diem and all that...
