IT similar to CTY

Hi if I wanted a similar performing trust to CTY just to diversify the provider a little what would you advise? Interested mostly on secure dividend rather than long term growth.

You could have a look at JPM Claverhouse, Dunedin Income Growth , Murray Income Trust, Merchants Trust. These are UK equity income trusts and other than Dunedin also on the dividends heroes list. Over five years they all appear to be in the same ballpark.

good advice thanks. if anything I was thinking of maybe something less exposed to soo many uk equities, not to say of course that now is not the time to buy into uk equities for an income...

Look at the global trusts in the dividend heroes list above.

I had assumed you wanted something like CTY. You might look at MYI or HINT. Both global with a decent dividend and recently at a discount so maybe an opportunity for some growth if that improves

With another IT you might not well obtain similar performance. However you would benefit from diversification. When investing there's no guarantees.
