How long to walk to the York Barbican from Layerthorpe Travelodge

As above, does anyone know how long it takes to walk from the Layerthorpe Travelodge to the York Barbican please.

Ive looked at the route planners but obviously they show the driving routes which are probably not the way you would walk. thanks.

Google does walking directions but they aren't necessarily perfect... it knows about many footpaths but not all so occasionally it send you the road route (obv ignoring one way etc) whereas there may be a footpath that cuts a big corner off. It does continue to improve though, it used to route around our local park but now for walkers/cycling it routes through the park.
