@Camelot - I hope that the bedroom can be finished soon. Upheaval is always stressful.@Wicked - that wall sounds really interesting, a glass of wine on the way is perfect.@Redcross - that's just weird!@TA - some of my family are 2 hours north of Brisbane and I agree, they have no idea of the time difference most of the time. Despite talking to my SIL on Friday morning (my time) she called me at close to midnight on Saturday.@Nan - it's so good to hear that your appointment went well. Good on Mr Fixit for propping you up.@Izzy - only 18 days? They'll fly by.@Rosy - I had three implants done in 2020. It was a long process (I needed a bone graft on one side) and expensive but so worth it. Not only do they help with eating they are better for jaw / teeth alignment. The worst part for me was having stitches in my mouth for five day after the bone graft as they are stiff and stick up. I hope it works out for you OH.Yes, missing Bella, snoozer and scarlet - and many others too. I zipped out for a couple of things and was caught in one, now I'm snug under the electric throw for the rest of the day.6

Hi all, thanks for the start @nmlc x
Still reading along but not posting much due to constraints of the new job. It’s not all that busy atm but I’m in an open office where my screen is in full view of management!
DH was told yesterday that his job is at risk and he is likely to be made redundant at the end of this month. This has come out of the blue and he is not in a good place. Just waiting to hear terms. This is the 3rd time in 8 years and he’s just about had enough now. Just trying to work out how we can survive without downsizing, which seems a bit drastic but might be needed.
Luckily we have no debt apart from the mortgage, and we have savings to live on if needs be. Every cloud.
Take care all.

Sorry everyone, I'm still here but only just reading through today's thread. I seem to be busier than ever.
Hopefully I'll be able to post tomorrow morning.
Coxy, so sorry about DH's job. We went through the process several times with Steve and it isn't good.4
