Morning all
Has a terrible nights sleep here I was tossing and turning most of the night I think today is going to be a struggle !Three people coming today and we are off to a local open air museum where they have events on for half term, two of my guys are members and so don’t have to pay and I am free as a carer, I have asked Robs mum to send money so I can sign him up as a member but I’m not holding my breath on that one 🙄
I need to have a quick tidy round and maybe run the hoover over this morning.
Not sure about dinner tonight will go and look in the freezer after this.
Have good days all and take care xx11 -

Morning. A late'ish start from me. I lay awake for ages last night just looking at the sky full of stars. It never fails to delight and amaze me. Shortly after I fell asleep the high winds and heavy rains started again. My windows looked as if a hose pipe was pouring water down them. The exercise class yesterday was enjoyable, I upped the weight of the dumbbells and took the extra strong resistance band to make it harder. I'd forgotten my walking stick which I need for one particular exercise so did it when I got home. Lunch was soup and more chicken sandwiches. My postie woman came back with an Amazon delivery which she had forgotten on her way round so I was pleased for that. More cardboard foe the recycling bag I'd just emptied. 😀
Today I'm going to make a pot of leek and lentil soup. Whilst that's bubbling away I need to do a bit of planning. My UK nephew and visiting Oz niece are coming up to visit in two weeks for a few days. I want to see where I can take them, most attractions don't open until Easter so it's a bit limited here until then. Research is needed.Hugs to poorlies.10 -
Morning All
Terrible nights sleep for me too, spent a lot of it reading and watching the clock. Luckily I don't have work today but really must do the shopping I didn't do yesterday! I'm still snotty and lacking a bit of oomph, hopefully a shower can help with that.
It was really wet and windy during the night but just raining this morning. Yesterday's rain dried up and I got the washing nearly dried outside, it's all aired now and just needs putting away. I'm changing the double bed in the front bedroom to a king size as all my visitors are quite tall, DS1 is going to take the double for DGD when he can get a van organised so I took it apart yesterday. Will see if he can co-ordinate collecting the new bed on his way here whenever that is which will save the delivery fee.
DD's tennant has left her flat in Glasgow so we're going up later to see what it's like, he's been there over 5 years so would probably need to be painted but we'll just clean this afternoon, may not be worth painting as she's going to sell it anyway.
Hope your appointment was ok Nanny.
Sounds like another good day for you and your guests Ruby, you certainly give them a variety of activities.
Well done on the exercise Gers.
How long now Izzy?
Hope the snoozers had a good weekend.
Hope you all have a good day, take care. XX

Morning all. Dry but dull here at the moment.
We had a great day out in London yesterday. I was leading a walk for 10 friends around the legal part of the City, including a visit to the Knights Templar's Church and then a pub lunch. Great fun and one friend ticked something off his Bucket List unexpectedly by having a sherry in El Vino's Wine Bar in Fleet Street.
Today we have a video call with DH's sister and BinL in Sydney so I'd better go and get ready for that. One of us has to sit upstairs otherwise there's too much feedback on the phones.
Have a great day all.11 -
Good morning everyone
An early call from me today as off to see SIL soon.
Grey start to the day today and rain forecast for later. I have a parcel to return this afternoon, I ordered a size 6 pair of boots which seemed tight when I tried them on and looking at the sole it said size 4. Talk about an ugly sister and a glass slipper! Decisions to be made about tea and bins to be emptied also, there is no end to my excitement.
Hugs to the poorlies, the sad and the worried.
Take care xx

Morning folks and thanks NMLC. It's quite a nice start here so I am hoping it ends up like yesterday when we actually had sun for a lot of the day!
I am a latecomer again but I have a note! My DF in Oz (near Brisbane) rang me at 7.30 this morning!! Fortunately I am an early riser as she often seems to forget what time it is here compared to there! I had showered but was still in my dressing gown. 1 hour and 15 mins later I eventually got dressed!! Boy she can talk!
It should have been lunch with DF today but again it's cancelled. She got her new rescue doggy on Sunday and wants to get her settled in before leaving her with her DH as he is "that side out" again just now. He's a difficult one to live with, so up and down and really awkward when he is down.
So now no plans for the day. Do I do a few jobs, have a bus ride somewhere or just slob around, Decisions, decisions!!
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, sad or lonely. We have a few MIA just now, I hope they are ok. Take care all, stay safe xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"8 -
Morning all, after the beautiful day yesterday, we're..... you guessed it, back to rain ! My appointment went well, I must say the all staff are superb no matter which hospital you visit. I had to hang on to Mr Fix It afterwards as they had given me a muscle relaxant and my legs didn't want to co-operate 😂
I too didn't get a good sleep last night as himself was snoring then the police helicopter was flying round with the big searchlight on for over an hour, don't know which one was the loudest !! Today I'm tired and could have cwtched up on the sofa but we have to take Dad to the audiology clinic this morning. I'm not looking forward to that as he always askes the most personal of questions of strangers while I'm trying to hide in a corner, it's so embarrassing.
Hope all the sleepless get a good sleep tonight, including me 🥱
Take care all
nan xx

Late again! I went to dun elm with DS to pick up an order, had a browse and got some other bedding in the sale. The only trouble is they charged full price of £30 instead of the reduced £15 so we'll have to go back later, but he is off to get his car towed back here shortly.Izzy, logs are a bit pricy now. When we have ours lit DH loads it up and everyone is boiling. We did buy a little fan thing that is meant to spread the heat around but it doesn't seem to get it as far as the living room which is off the kitchen through double doors which are always open.We are off to the match tonight so I've taken 2 hm cooked ready meals out of the freezer. DS is still on soup or pasta after his extractions. He's been back to the dentist earlier to see someone about implants, scary cost .More research needed!Hope everyone is doing ok x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'.
