EON Next pledge tracker v3 or Next secure fixed 24m v1?
I'm currently on an EON next tariff next 2yrv11 ending on March 26th. EON are suggesting I move onto next secure fixed 24m v1 which has an exit fee of £150/fuel.
My estimated usage is 2509 kwh for electricity and 18906 kwh for gas
My annual usage is calculated as £2061.26.
I WAS going to be joining Martin's suggested tarrif pledge tracker which has £25 exit fee per fuel. The total charge is £2402.16 which is £341 cheaper than the Pledge tracker.
Is the Pledge tracker not so much a good idea now?

The pledge tracker is using current prices for its calculation. It's predicted there may be a 16% reduction 1st April and another 10% on 1st July so factor that into your pledge and recalculate. Personally, I wouldn't do anything rash until the 1st April price cap figures are out.2

The purpose of fixed tariff - particularly a long fix, like the 24 month one - isn't to save you money. It's to give you confidence that your bills won't rise during the period. If you can handle the risk that prices might rise, a variable tariff is likely to cost less. But of course that isn't guaranteed.N. Hampshire, he/him. Octopus Intelligent Go elec & Tracker gas / Shell (now TT) BB / Lebara mobi. Ripple Kirk Hill member.

I signed up for the Secure 24M V1 tariff. If prices over the next 24M are less than 85% as of now, I'll loose out.If prices are more than 85% of now, I'll win.I'll be winning 'till the new April price cap, then probably neutral up to the next one, after that who really knows?Do Money Saving sites make you buy more bargains - and spend more money?1
