Gas Fire installation

Hi I've recently had a gas fire installed earlier this week and don't think the coal bed has been installed correctly there a gap at the front and its sloping and also parts the coal bed has changed colour.

He says its correct but didn't even open the instructions from the package when fitting the fire so unsure how it can definitely right.mortgageFTB said:Well, I’d imagine there would have been colour change - because you’ve ignited something that’s probably never been ignited before. its very hard to say “Yes its incorrect” or “its correct”
the picture doesn’t show it all, we don’t know the gas fire type and we can’t tell any angles.

i can’t actually see the issue from the pictures. Maybe the coal bed isn’t perfectly aligned, but it’s hard to tell.
you’re 100% going to get discolouration. You’re exposing something to intense high heat.0
