Yes, that is now their standard reply - making excuses for the delay even though you didn't ask about the delay!3

Hi Forumites ,
3 weeks ago i did a credit check and found a CCJ on my name and it refered to this case from last year.
The reason why i received the CCJ is because the CNBC last year sent the initial DQ to the wrong address and then sent me a order confirming the judgment will be held against me. I called the CNBC and proved i did send in the first DQ and the judgement was set aside and then sent me an order on the 8th August 24 saying that i should sent me DQ in within 7 days again.
I sent it in time again on the 14th August 24 and on the DQ said that any further notices should be sent to my new address as i had moved on the 15 July 24 stating the new address. I did not get any post after moving and should have called and follow up but did i assumed they would send me notices to my new address .I forgot about it and the a year later found out that they did not receive the second DQ and due to that went ahead and gave me the CCJ by default.
When i called them 3 weeks ago they said i must send them a email with all the delivery receipts and screenshots of both DQs which i did on the 7th Nov 25.I called today and heard on the 25 Nov 25 they referred the case to Willesden County court. I called Willesden County court today and confirmed they are going to start the case case again but i must send them a email to change the address because the recent order has gone to the old address and then to remove the CCJ i need to fill in a N244 and pay either 123 for a consent to remove the CCJ or 313 pounds for a unconsent form to remove a CCJ but feel i should not pay anything as i have proved that i did sent both DQ's within the correct period and it as there negligence. Please advise what i should do next .I will send a email for the new address as Urgent but this is preventing me from applying for a mortgage and will loose the opportunity to apply for the house i found which i can afford as its below the market price.
This is the email i sent them----Request for Urgent Removal of CCJ Due to Un-Processed DQ Documents – Case Reference: XXXXXXXX52
Nov 7, 2025, 12:26 AMto dq.cnbc, caseprogression.cnbc, bcc: me
Dear Civil National Business Centre,
I hope you are well.
I am writing regarding a County Court Judgment (CCJ) registered against my name under case reference XXXXXX52, which I recently became aware of when completing a credit check in preparation for a mortgage application.
Upon contacting the CNBC Help Centre, I was informed that the court hearing notification and related paperwork were initially sent to an incorrect address. Due to this error, I did not receive the documents in time and therefore did not have the opportunity to respond or attend the hearing. I was further advised that in the history of the case it was confirmed that it had previously been set aside and I was awaiting further communication, which unfortunately I did not receive.
In addition, I was told that I had been reminded to submit my Directions Questionnaire on 08/08/2024. However, please note that I had already submitted the Directions Questionnaire on 11/07/2024 and again on 14/08/2024, and I had confirmed my updated address from 15/07/2024. Both submissions were sent by email, and delivery receipts confirm they were successfully received by the CNBC ( dq.cnbc@justice.gov.uk ).
Despite this, it appears my Directions Questionnaire was not processed, and as a result, the case proceeded in my absence. This has led to a CCJ being registered against my name without my knowledge or the fair opportunity to represent myself. This has caused significant reputational damage and personal distress, particularly as I am currently in the process of applying for a mortgage.
Given the above, I respectfully request the following:
Immediate removal (set aside) of the CCJ from my credit profile.
Closure of the case, on the basis that procedural errors by the CNBC prevented my participation in accordance with due process.
I believe these actions are justified considering:
The original court documents were sent to an incorrect address.
I submitted the required Directions Questionnaire twice within the appropriate time frame.
Delivery receipts confirm CNBC received my submissions.
I was denied the fair opportunity to present my case.
I have attached supporting document containing:
Screenshots of both emails sent with the Directions Questionnaire attached (two separate occasions) in the document named 'XXXXXX52_Proof of Un-Processed DQ Docs.docx'.
Screenshots of the Delivery receipts for both submissions in the document named 'XXXXXX52_Proof of Un-Processed DQ Docs.docx'..
Copies of the delivery receipts .
A screenshot of the CCJ as reported on my credit file (CheckMyFile, linked to three credit bureaus) in the document named 'XXXXXX52_Proof of Un-Processed DQ Docs.docx'..
The first page of my Directions Questionnaire confirming my updated address effective 15 July 2024, which would have ensured correct delivery had the form been processed in the document named 'XXXXXX52_Proof of Un-Processed DQ Docs.docx'..
4 pages of the Directions Questionnaire which were attached to both copies of the email I had already submitted on 11/07/2024 and again on 14/08/2024.
This matter is urgent, as the presence of this CCJ may jeopardize my ability to secure a mortgage and proceed with a property purchase and any other credit loans. I would greatly appreciate your prompt review and action.
Thank you for your time and attention. I look forward to your response.
Kind regards,

Hi All
I have sent this email--Hi Willesden County CourtI just heard via a phone call I made to CNBC today that my case was transferred to WCC and that the Order Notice sent on the 25 Nov 25 from CNBC was sent to my old address. Please can you register my NEW address on file and resend the order to my new address-
New address here
As the case has been re-started due to the below attached email to CNBC , i would really like the CCJ removed URGENTLY from my name as i proved that i did send the DQ in time last year to CNBC and hence that's why they have decide to transfer this case to WCC and restart my case as they missed the emails and is not my fault. Please can i request that this case be escalated to avoid any further delay as i am in the process of applying for a mortgage and cannot do so until the CCJ is removed from my name and makes sense to remove the CCJ as the case is starting again and the judgement should not be held against me while i will be defending my case and is unlawful.Kind Regards2 -
Ask the CNBC for a copy of the allocation notice. I don't think the local court can issue an order not drawn up by them.
Sounds like it's all back on track though!PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

@Coupon-mad
The allocation notice has not been updated since last year and this transfer allocation is the only doc that has been updated . Will they remove the CCJ automatically before the case goes ahead?
