Neighbours bathroom juts into the house we want to buy

I am so so sorry for the delay in responding back to this.
The property is this one: https://www.rightmove.co.uk/properties/144021506#/?channel=RES_BUY
The bathroom appears as an alcove in the room called "Family room" in the floor plan.
It has loads more space, good sized rooms, a fair bit of potential, larger garden and space on the drive for our caravan. We put an offer in and it got accepted as it really ticks the majority of our boxes.
Story goes is that the original owner used to own both houses and who then nicked a bit of "our" house to add a bath to next door's downstairs bathroom. He then separated the two properties and its been like that for about 25 years. Talks to our local planning department says that they can't find any planning permission for it. We have paid a private surveyor to do a homeowners survey on it and he didn't find any problem with the set up and said that he has seen it before and that it isn't causing any problems.
Thank you for for your advice so far.
My big issue would be that it likely breaches the fire wall. That is a major safety issue.

Lovely looking property, my only issue I think would be that if you're in the lounge wanting to use the toilet, you've got to either go upstairs, or troop through the entire downstairs and go out into the garage (presumably unheated) to get to the shower room. Which I would think is odder than a bit of next door's bathroom jutting into the house.

When the property was first sold after the division, the unusual boundaries should have been made clear on the Transfer Plan and the details pulled through to the Title. Rights of support to your flying freehold above and access to the neighbour's house for maintenance should also be in that Transfer. Make sure your solicitor is told about the layout so they can check this.

It seems like a lovely house and a lot of house to get for the money. I'd go for it.0

OP- Can you go have another good look at the 'jutting in' bit ? Any chance of going next door to see what is actually there?0 -
If it helps - if there's a 'noise' issue - it appears there is space for an extra wall thickness to be added on the OP's side.
