I have a Samsung SM-T710
It is from 2015 and has android 5.0.2
I recently did a fresh install because it was really slow unfortunately although it is fine - a lot of apps will not install because it has an old version of android - any ideas on how to upgrade.
When I go to software update it is says "Latest updates have already been installed."
Maybe I have to buy a new one which will not break the bank but it seems a shame.

Most tablets don't get software upgrades, so get stuck on the version they shipped with.

It was even abondoned by custom roms around android 6 so unfortunately it's a doorstop now.4.29kWp Solar system, 45/55 South/West split in cloudy rainy Cumbria.1

I've got an SMT 713 (Tab S2) which is on 7.0 but that's as far as it goes. Still works ok but I only use it for general browsing.
I looked into installing a custom rom but it was too difficult for me to do.0 -
