uPVC door latch getting stuck

We have a uPVC front door, fitted a few years ago. It has a "Yale Mantis" lock (according to what's written on the side of the door anyway!). In the last few days, the latch has been getting stuck in the door when the handle is fully pushed down - and the only way to free it is to push the latch with my finger and lift it up slightly. It's difficult to explain, so here's a video:

It's like the latch is getting stuck on the bottom somehow - you can hear and feel a very slight "click", and pushing it in and lifting the latch frees it. There's still plenty of "spring" in the latch, it's just getting stuck on something. I've given it a good WD40-ing to no avail. Does anyone know if there's an easy fix for this, or is it time to call a locksmith?

Don't use regular WD-40 it may make it worse over time, you need

OK noted, but the problem hasn't been getting worse (or been aggrivated by using standard WD40) - it just started happening earlier this week. The lock was fine prior to that.

Have you got a window doctor in your area?
I worked on mine, just a case of adjusting the frame bit the catch goes into. A screw loosened or tightened so the plate doesnt catch. There's probably a video on it but I used obversation and instinct.

However when the window doctor came to do new seals she did the door catches for free.
I didn't know how poor they were till she did her thing. Pure joy every time I go in or out  .
